Where can I use my Myer Gift Card?

The card works in two places, and the recipient can choose between them freely. The first is myer.com.au, where the card is entered at checkout like any other payment method. The second is the shop floor, in Myer stores from Sydney and Melbourne through to Perth and Adelaide.

What makes it worth having is the range behind it. A Myer store covers the same ground as our fashion gift cards, with clothing, shoes and accessories, and then adds beauty, homeware, kitchen, electronics and toys. That means one card stretches to a new coat, a set of pans, a fragrance or a birthday present for a child, without the giver having to decide which of those it should be.

If the recipient is mainly a beauty shopper, the M.A.C by Myer Gift Card is the narrower version of the same idea. For a gift with a set value there is also the Myer Benefit Gift Card.

Online the card is redeemed at the checkout, at the point where you would normally pick a payment method.

1. Add what you want to your basket on myer.com.au and go to checkout.
2. Work through to the payment step.
3. Choose the gift card option.
4. Enter the card details from your confirmation email.
5. Confirm, and the amount comes off the order total.

Anything left over stays on the card and is still there for a next order, so there is no need to spend it in one go. If the basket comes to more than the value of the card, the difference is paid with a second payment method at the same checkout. It works the other way round too: you can put the card towards a larger purchase and cover the rest yourself.

Everything you need is in the confirmation email that arrives after the order. That email holds the card number and the details the checkout or the register asks for, so it is worth keeping rather than deleting once the gift has been handed over.
